Practical information

Entry requirements

Program of high expertise in intellectual property law is available to law and non-law graduates who have relevant professional interest in the field.

Prospective applicants are required to:

  • hold at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university;
  • be fluent in English which will be assessed an interview.

Additional points will be awarded to candidates holding a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in law, economics, business administration or other related fields.

Fees

3500 euros (students with Polish citizenship and EU candidates) payable in three instalments:

1)    Euro 1250 payable 7 days after the enrolment;

2)    Euro 1250 payable before February 15, 2024;

3)    Euro 1000 payable before October 15, 2024. 

7000 euros (other candidates):

1)    Euro 2500 payable 7 days after the enrolment;

2)    Euro 2500 payable before February 15, 2024;

3)    Euro 2000 payable before October 15, 2024. 

The fee includes: programme development and management; teaching equipment, training materials, use of training facilities and support services; welcome and farewell dinners; study visit at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (board, lodging, travel expenses, personal expenses for the residential phases at the Jagiellonian University are not included)

Scholarships

Programme is supported by WIPO scholarship awarded to candidates:

  • being government officials and others working in the public sector such as universities, academies and research and development institutions;
  • originating from developing countries, least developed countries (LDCs) or countries in transition;
  • apply using the JU Online Application System (uj.edu.pl) by July 22, 2023 and WIPO Online Application system.

Entry dates

Registration for applicants in 2023/2024 is available between February 9 to September 6, 2023 (in two rounds).
