Pan-European Seal Programme został utworzony przez dwie najważniejsze instytucje europejskie w dziedzinie własności intelektualnej - Europejski Urząd Patentowy (EPO) i Urząd Unii Europejskiej ds. Własności Intelektualnej (EUIPO) - we współpracy z czołowymi ośrodkami naukowymi w Europie.

Submission of applications by the graduates
− All candidates shortlisted are required to file their application through the e-recruitment tool available on the EPO website here until 30 April 2018.
www.epo.org/learning-events/materials/pan-european-seal/student-traineeships.html
− The application shall contain a motivation letter to apply for an EPO internship
− Updated curriculum vitae
− Degree/Master diploma or proof of conclusion, indicating the final grade. This can be replaced by a provisional declaration, until final diploma is issued.
− Certificate(s) of completion of the e-learning course(s) as required depending on the graduate’s profile (science and engineering or all other academic areas).
o Introduction to the European patent system (mandatory for all)
o Using CPC (mandatory for science and engineering only)
o The EPO as PCT authority (mandatory for all other academic areas)

EPO selection procedure
− As of 1 May, the EPO will start evaluating the applications submitted online by the candidates based on the shortlists provided by the universities.
− Only online applications of candidates included in the shortlists will be considered.
− The EPO reserves the right to select the candidates from the shortlists according to profile of the applications and the Office’ business needs. The number of selected candidates will be established by the EUIPO and the EPO taking into consideration the maximum number of 100 traineeships yearly offered;
− The Universities institutions will be informed about the outcome of the procedure by the end of June 2018;

Note to the candidates:

Candidates must bear in mind that withdrawals have a serious impact on the selection procedure as well as on the smooth running of the Programme itself. Furthermore, having been selected implies that other candidates have not been able to participate in the programme due to the limited number of internships.
It is therefore expected that all candidates give considerate thought to their application and the necessary commitment until the final selection has taken place.

The required documents should be first submitted to dr Dariusz Kasprzycki via mail or in person before April 23. By April 30, the Intellectual Property Chair will select up to 5 candidates in a form of shortlist. Then EPO will decide the number of selected candidates. The duration of the paid traineeship is of 10 months, and will start at the mid-September.
